About David

David Fromant writes and edits the articles in Pali GRC's News & Insights. His background is in writing and content editing from a technical perspective, and he has spent more than 30 years working across communications, software engineering and strategic consulting for government, not-for-profit and commercial organisations.

David has a long history with Pali itself. He helped develop the original code base for the Governance, Risk and Compliance system that became Pali GRC, and was later engaged by CCO Frameworks as Chief Operating Officer. Over the years he has spent in that role, he has overhauled the platform's code base, front end, and brand - and launched the sibling products ProbityPro and GovMan.

That combination of hands-on GRC software experience and professional writing shapes the articles here: practical, plain-English guidance on Governance, Risk and Compliance for Australian organisations, from Privacy Act reforms and obligations registers, to emerging risk and choosing a GRC system.

David also runs The Splendid Projects Company, a Melbourne consultancy covering web development, legacy application support and practical AI integration.
